We collect the minimum required to make LifeTraject work. Here's exactly what, and why.
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Account data: Your email address and a hashed password when you create an account with email. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only what that provider shares with us (for Apple, often a private relay email).
Check-in data: Your daily morning and evening check-in responses (selections from provided options, plus any optional free-text note you choose to add). This is the core data that powers your direction analysis.
Diagnostic answers: Your onboarding diagnostic responses used to generate your initial direction result.
Usage analytics: Product events (for example app opened, check-in completed, screen views) are sent to PostHog. When you are not signed in, events use a random device-local identifier. When you are signed in, the same events are associated with your LifeTraject account’s internal user id (pseudonymous analytics). We do not sell analytics data.
Subscription data: Your subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
Reminder preferences: If you enable check-in reminders, your chosen times are stored in the app and used only to schedule local notifications on your device (not used for advertising).
Advertising context (free plan): If you are not on a paid subscription, the app may show ads through Google Mobile Ads. Ad delivery is handled by Google’s SDK; see Google’s privacy documentation for how they process data in that context.
We don’t collect your contacts, location, photos, microphone, or any background device data. LifeTraject only accesses what you explicitly enter. We do not use your check-in content to sell personal data to data brokers.
Your data is used exclusively to provide the LifeTraject service: to calculate your direction state, generate pattern analysis, and power your personal reports. We do not sell your data to third parties.
On the free plan, advertising helps support the product; ad networks may use their own technical measures as described in their policies.
Aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example, how common certain direction states are across all users) may be used to improve the product. Where we publish or use aggregates, they are designed not to identify individuals.
LifeTraject uses the following third-party services:
Each provider has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@lifetraject.com. You can also delete your account from the app: open Profile, then Account, and use Delete account.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted and role-based.
LifeTraject is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have received data from a child, please contact us immediately.
We may update this policy when features change. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of LifeTraject after changes constitutes acceptance.
